Building a business can be strangely isolating, especially when the questions you are carrying do not have quick or simple answers.
PauZe is a free community for coaches, consultants, practitioners and other thoughtful entrepreneurs building businesses around their expertise, who want a more human place to explore the person behind the business, the work they are building, and what the journey is asking of them.
Too many voices. Too many decisions. Too many frameworks. Too many shoulds.
You gather advice from different places, try to piece it all together, and often end up feeling more scattered rather than less.
PauZe creates room to step back from the noise, hear your own thinking, and engage with the questions beneath the visible business problem.
This is not a community built around performing success or pretending to have everything figured out. It is a place for thoughtful conversation about the realities of building meaningful work: what is taking shape, what feels difficult, what we are learning, and who we are becoming along the way.
The business and the person building it belong in the same conversation.
Inside PauZe, our conversations may begin with a business decision, a fear, an experiment, a piece of work, or a question someone cannot yet answer.
As much as you are growing your business, your business is growing you. The uncertainty, fear, visibility, decisions, and patterns that emerge while you turn meaningful work into a sustainable business can become a profound source of self-knowledge, if you are willing to pay attention.
We explore themes such as:
- The space between knowing and doing
- Recognising what your business is asking you to develop next
- Learning to trust your own judgement
- Visibility, uncertainty, fear, and the patterns they reveal
- The work you are building and what it is asking of you now
- Slow wins, unfinished questions, and learning from experience
- Creating a business that supports your life rather than consuming it
There is no expectation that every conversation must reach a neat conclusion. Sometimes naming the real question is the beginning of finding your way.

A community shaped by the questions I have spent my career exploring.
I am Zona Lord, a strategic thinking partner to entrepreneurs, with a background in organisational and business psychology, behavioural science and coaching, and more than 25 years of experience in learning and development.
Across those fields and my own experience of entrepreneurship, I have kept returning to the same question: why can capable people know so much and still struggle to act on what they know?
PauZe is one place where we explore that question together. I bring prompts, observations, practical reflections, and questions from The Entrepreneur's Way into the community, but I do not believe all the wisdom should come from one voice. Members bring their own experiences, perspectives, experiments, and unfinished thinking into the room.
I host the space, but its value also comes from the experiences, questions and unfinished thinking members bring.

The community is not a substitute for individual coaching or for focused Business Wayfinding work. It offers something different: an ongoing place to reflect, contribute, and remain in conversation with others who are finding their own way.
