For organisations
Development that accounts for the system people work in
Leadership development often treats the individual as the only variable. The person returns to the same team, the same pressures and the same constraints, and very little changes.
I work across the individual, the team and the organisation, because that is where the real constraint usually sits.
Three levels, one approach
01
The individual
What this person is being asked to develop, and what is making it difficult.
02
The team
How the group thinks and decides together, and what the system around it permits.
03
The organisation
The conditions, structures and pressures shaping what any individual or team can actually do.
Looking across all three is what locates the real constraint, rather than developing an individual for conditions that will not let them change.
How I work with organisations
Leadership coaching
One to one coaching for leaders carrying responsibility for people, decisions and direction. The core of the work.
Team development
Working with a team on how it thinks, decides and works together, rather than on individual performance alone.
Workshop facilitation
Sessions designed around a real question your people are holding, facilitated so the thinking belongs to the room.
Programme design
Development and mentorship programmes built for your context, from the design through to delivery.
Evaluation
Understanding whether a programme did what it set out to do, and what the evidence suggests should change.
What this is grounded in
A master's in business and organisational psychology, membership of the British Psychological Society, and more than 25 years across government, education, non-profits, mining, pharmaceuticals, logistics and retail, much of it as an internal consultant working alongside leaders and business departments.
